I’ve purchased notebooks in the past made like this and after like a week the pages would pull out some even had all pages pop off cover. I think if gluing and now sewing pages then you need sturdy thick glue so pages don’t come out.

Hi! Great tutorial, but will Elmers glue work? I don’t believe I have PVA Glue but I have a lot of Elmer’s glue I need to use up
It's not ideal because it will be much stiffer when it dries than purpose-made bookbinding glue (which is flexible), may be acidic depending on the formula (will eventually corrode/destroy the paper it touches), and may become brittle, crack or turn yellow with age. However, that will likely be several years from now -- so, if you've never done anything like this before it's fine to practice with because it's cheap and available and will give you the chance to learn/develop your processes. Should you decide you like the hobby enough to do it semi-seriously you can always buy professional grade PVA glue for your keepsake projects.

The cover was 220gsm paperboard :-)
Can you omit end papers and just apply cover?
The end paper is not mandatory. But to make it more secure, I think it's better to at least stick the first and last pages to the cover or the inside might fall off as whole.
Watching this after my favourite paper got discontinued and all you can buy now is the remaining loose leaf paper lol

Hi, unfortunately I lost my notebook but to be honest, it might have fallen apart if I used it for a long time. Using just glue is not very sturdy. If you are planning on binding something precious, I highly recommend using binding with threads :-)
Could you send recommendations for where to get the filler paper? 220gsm on Amazon is $32.50 for 250 sheets A4
I used 120gsm paper I bought from my local art supply store. And mine was 10cm*15cm(about 4in*6in) and pretty cheap. You can maybe look for smaller and thinner paper. I hope it helped :-)

It's the fun of making something yourself. The object is not to have the item as quick as possible, but rather develop a useful skill and enjoy working with your hands.

What keeps the pages from falling out when it is not sewn together?
To be honest, I don't think it's possible to make them not fall out with just the glue you have at home. It may be easier and cheaper to make but it won't be sturdy enough to hold it for a long period of time. If you are binding something precious or just want the project to last long, I recommend using other binding method using thread :-)
